Role of Institution in the Network
Machiavellian studies at Seton Hall University put great emphasis on the rigorous examination of primary sources, including diplomatic correspondence, Renaissance histories, merchant houses' business accounts, town hall records, and the like. This rigorous insistence n the textual foundations and historically accurate reconstruction f events will be one major contribution of this Institution to the Network; the other two will be its expertise in the social history f Renaissance Florence, and an outstanding knowledge of Renaissance palaeography and archives in Italy.
